Cole Hauser Speaks Out About Moving on From 'Yellowstone'
It’s been almost a month since the Yellowstone season 5 finale and fans can’t help but miss their favorite characters—namely, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser). Fortunately for us, Cole shared a few more thoughts on the end of an era.
“It’s been such an honor to play this character, and this year is a lot about picking up the pieces,” Cole said in a behind-the-scenes Yellowstone interview posted on the show’s Instagram page. “There’s a real sadness to having to just wrap everything up, but everything has to move on, and that seven years that we spent there has a special place in a lot of people’s hearts.”
Cole’s wording gives us hope. While he mentioned that it’s time to move on, he didn’t say that it’s time for his character’s storyline to come to an end. Additionally, he reflected on seven years spent there (as in, the Yellowstone Ranch in Montana), so who’s to say that his story won’t just pick back up somewhere else, say, down in Texas?
As it currently stands, “sources” have confirmed a Yellowstone spin-off with Cole and Kelly at the helm—Kelly has even confirmed such in a few Instagram comments. That said, we have no further details on the show, whether it’s filming, who’s in it, or when it’s set to air. Nevertheless, we remain hopeful. After all, so many storylines still need to be accounted for. For example, what’s going to happen to Lloyd and Carter? We’re hoping to see them down in Texas with Beth and Rip before too long.
