Bobbi Kristina Brown's grandmother, Cissy Houston, is clarifying earlier comments made by Bobby Brown about the current state of his daughter.
The R&B singer, 46, told a crowd at a concert in Dallas on Saturday that Bobbi was "awake" and "watching" him perform. On Monday, Houston weighed in on the 22-year-old's current condition.
"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive," Houston said in a statement to WHO.
"Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me.
"We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers."

Bobbi Kristina, who is the daughter of Brown and the late Whitney Houston, is still in a longterm care facility in Georgia and her prognosis remains unclear.
She was first hospitalised on January 31 after being discovered unconscious in the bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, home. In February, doctors attempted to remove Bobbi Kristina from her medically induced coma, but put her back into the comatose state after she experienced violent seizures.
