Ciarran Stott reveals surprising reality show he wants to go on next

He’s appeared on The Bachelorette in both Australia and Sweden, had quite a memorable stint on the third season of Bachelor in Paradise and recently competed on Channel 10’s new competition series The Challenge Australia, but Ciarran Stott has no plans to hang up his reality TV boots just yet.

The 28-year-old media personality tells Yahoo Lifestyle that while he has his sights set on a few different reality shows, including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and SAS Australia, he’s also keen to get his girlfriend Ruby Burciaga in front of the camera.

“I wouldn’t mind getting Ruby on a TV show,” he says. “Get us on The Block or something, we’d be great on that!”

Ciarran adds that the reason he wanted to sign on to do The Challenge was that it was unlike any other show he’s appeared on.

“I just thought it would be fun to give something a crack that’s not a dating show, something where you get to do physical challenges and see what you can do,” he shares.

“I’ve been asked to do other shows like SAS and whatnot and that just never went through, but The Challenge is the one that stuck out to me. I watched some of the American seasons and I thought, that stuff looks insane, I want to give it a crack.”

“I haven’t really watched any shows I’ve been on,” he confesses. “I tried watching the first one and I found it a bit cringe on The Bachelorette and then I just never watched it again.

“I was there and I did it, so I know what to expect and what’s to come. I don’t really care what other people say about me behind the scenes, it doesn’t really bother me that much.”

‘World's biggest f**king idiot’

One of the most controversial moments from Ciarran’s stint on The Challenge was when he admitted to having a shower hook-up with Love Island star Audrey Kanongora in the first episode. Ciarran’s girlfriend Ruby later found out about the affair after she received a message from a fake profile on Instagram, which lead to a tearful confrontation between the pair via a video call on the show.

Speaking about the anonymous tip-off, Ciarran says he doesn’t care about who it was that told Ruby but he wishes he could’ve informed her first.

“I wanted to tell her that day [after it happened] but I wasn't allowed to,” he reveals. “Even on the first call we had, we weren't allowed to talk about it.

“Because it happened on the show, if we mentioned it they might’ve had to cut the call. So even though I wanted to tell her, I couldn’t say, ‘Oh this has happened’ because then boom the phone goes off and I can't speak to it. I would’ve felt even worse.

“It was a difficult time and I'm an idiot for doing it,” he continues. “I'm not trying to sugarcoat anything, I'm an idiot. Every time I've messed up in life or on TV is when I've consumed a stupid amount of alcohol and turned into the world's biggest f**king idiot. So I've stopped drinking since, which is good working for myself and Ruby.”

Ciarran adds that while their relationship has been “a bit of a rollercoaster” since he returned home from filming in Argentina, they’re on the right track at the moment.

“Luckily for myself, Ruby hasn't left me,” he says. “She’s still here, so I must be doing something right.

“When the time's right and I can buy a ring that I think she's worthy of having, not a little crappy one, then I’ll propose.”
