Christina Haack's Dream Team for 'The Flip Off' Is Revealed
When we learned Christina Haack was divorcing then-husband Josh Hall back in July 2024, one of our first thoughts was, "What's going to happen to The Flip Off?" After all, the highly-anticipated HGTV show was announced just a few days prior and was promised to be the ultimate renovation challenge with a double-date twist. But after costars Tarek and Heather El Moussa confirmed that the show would go on without Hall, we wondered if the Christina on the Coast star would add anyone else to her team.
After months of speculating that right-hand man James Bender or even ex-husband Ant Anstead would join, The Flip Off premiere revealed that Haack has a team rallying behind her. Not only is she working with contractor Michael Lange, who said he "had her back" in a post-split scene, but designer partner Kylie Wing made a cameo in the first episode. As if Haack's resume isn't impressive enough, she and Wing run an eponymous luxury interior design firm in Orange County.
"She and I have very similar styles," Haack said during a filmed confessional. "It’s like she can read my mind.” In fact, Haack revealed just how fun it is to design with another woman when she and Wing were admiring a porcelain slab with purple veining. "I know that the man that I was working with would say, 'Absolutely not, it's purple,'" she said. "Stay in your lane," Wing quipped. "Let the pros do their jobs."
Though Haack does have some support during the renovation process, she's still on her own when competing against the El Moussa family. However, when House Beautiful spoke to Haack before the premiere, she said she wasn't really fazed by the change in her team. "I wasn't relying on my partner to be this extremely amazing house flipper," she explained. "Basically, I was planning to do most of it myself with my team already. It made it a little bit easier because I [didn't] have to ask someone their opinion. It was just fun!"
