The couple appeared on TODAY in October and spoke about the expansion of their family. Schwarzenegger, an occasional guest correspondent for the show, connected with her husband, who was in New York to promote his upcoming film The Electric State, after Pratt confirmed that his wife's due date was just a few weeks away.

“I just hope to not go into labor before you get home,” said Schwarzenegger.

"That would be great," said Pratt, who earlier in his interview alongside costar Millie Bobby Brown divulged that the couple did not know the sex of the baby yet, though he had an intuition.

"I have a feeling," said the Guardians of the Galaxy actor. "I have an intuition but I won’t say it now in case I’m wrong and this child sees this."

Schwarzenegger, the daughter of actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver, spoke about having more children last year. "I come from a big family, so I love the idea of having a lot of kids around and a big family," she told US Weekly, adding that her famous mother has been instrumental in helping her navigate parenthood.

“It’s all a balancing act. I feel really lucky to be able to have, obviously, an amazing role model in my mom, and just being able to see how she balances it all," said Schwarzenegger. "Learning from her, being able to bounce things off of her and, at the end of the day, just knowing that family time is the most important time.”

Pratt next joins forces with fellow Marvel vets Anthony and Joe Russo for the upcoming The Electric State (out in March 2025), a sci-fi action dramedy set in the aftermath of a robot uprising in the 1990s. Loosely based on Simon Stålenhag's graphic novel of the same name, it centers on Brown's orphaned teenager Michelle as she sets across the dystopian wasteland in search of her brother. Ke Huy Quan, Giancarlo Esposito, Anthony Mackie, and Woody Harrelson also star.

His upcoming credits also include season 2 of The Terminal List and the sci-fi thriller film Mercy.
