He’s one of Australia’s biggest exports in Hollywood, but Chris Hemsworth is taking a break from starring in blockbusters.

The 35-year-old Australian actor is stopping acting for the rest of the year, so he can spend more time with his family.

“This year I probably won't shoot anything. I just want to be at home now with my kids,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

“They are at a very important age. They are still young and they are aware when I leave more than before.”

Chris plans to spend time with wife Elsa Pataky, and children India, seven, and Sasha and Tristan, both five, in their Aussie home in Byron Bay, seas away from the glitz and glamour of LA’s tinsel town.

Meanwhile their new family home, a $9 million Byron Bay mansion, is under construction and expected to be completed before the end of the year.

Chris, Elsa and the kids relocated to Byron Bay nearly four years ago to escape the hustle and bustle of LA.

With six bedrooms, a gym, infinity pool, spa, media room and ocean views, according to the Daily Mail, it has just about everything you could dream of having in a house.

Meanwhile even though Chris is planning to slow down his career this year, fans will still be able to see him on the big screen.

After having recently starred in the Avengers: Endgame flick, he will next star in Men In Black releasing later in 2019.
