Chris Hemsworth's 'shopping centre-sized' Byron home taking three years to build
Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky’s $9 million Byron Bay mansion is well and truly looking like a Beverly Hills mega pad.
The couple and their three children – India, seven, and five-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan – relocated to Byron Bay nearly four years ago to escape the hustle and bustle of LA.
And new aerial shots show their Broken Head home slowly taking shape.
Construction on an additional Garage/Studio outbuilding has begun so it could still be a while yet before the family moves in, with Chris estimating it will be ready in November, three years after work began in late 2016.
The house itself has an all-white facade, with dark grey swimming pool and there are some new green features, including palms and other trees being built into the multi-storey home.
With six bedrooms, a gym, infinity pool, spa, media room and ocean views, according to the Daily Mail, it has just about everything you could dream of having in a house, however, it seems some of the locals haven’t taken a liking to it.
They previously compared Chris and Elsa’s mansion to a 'shopping centre'.
“Looks like the new Woolies,” one person said, whilst another complained about the “environmental footprint” the mansion was leaving.
Chris and Elsa relocated to Byron Bay in 2015. The couple love their lives in NSW and are often seen out and about soaking up the sun at the beach with their kids.
