Cher is heading out on tour — book tour, that is!

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the legendary musician, 78, announced the book tour for her upcoming memoir Cher: The Memoir, Part 1 – which comes out Nov. 19.

The tour will kick off in New York City on November 20 before stopping in Englewood, N.J.; London; Beverly Hills, Calif.; and San Francisco. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Oct. 10 at 12 p.m. ET.

Cher unveiled her two-part memoir in July with the synopsis teasing that the first installment will follow "her extraordinary beginnings through childhood to meeting and marrying Sonny Bono — and reveals the highly complicated relationship that made them world-famous, but eventually drove them apart."

The book is expected to showcase the singer-songwriter’s "trademark honesty and humor" and detail "how this diamond in the rough succeeded with no plan and little confidence to become the trailblazing superstar the world has been unable to ignore for more than half a century," according to a synopsis.

In November 2023, the "Believe" singer teased her book during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in which she said the writing process was not going smoothly.

"I just totally chickened out," the singer confessed. "I didn’t put in some things that needed to be put in. And they’re not comfortable, but they need to be put in so I have to go back and man up."

At the time, Cher said she realized that her tell-all needed to dive deeper into her life story.

"I’ve lived too long and done too much and so it’s like it should be the encyclopedia," Cher shared.

And because, as the synopsis for Part I points out, "It is a life too immense for only one book," there's a second book coming in 2025.

Last October, the singer spoke with PEOPLE in an exclusive interview about her very first holiday album titled Christmas. "I wanted to make a Cher Christmas album but I didn't know how to do it," she said. "I never could figure out a way. Then this year, I just asked the record company if they would just let me do it — and just hand the finished product over to them —and they were agreeable, so I started picking songs."

She continued, "We did them one at a time, so what I realized is that I have a fun Christmas album that only has a couple of sad songs. I was really happy that it was eclectic, and it's really eclectic. I was proud of it myself."

Cher: The Memoir, Part I comes out Nov. 19 and is available for preorder now, wherever books are sold.
