I'm A Celeb's Charlotte Crosby 'nearly arrested' over X-rated item
Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has survived a brush with the law in the United Arab Emirates after a sex toy was discovered in her hand luggage.
The incident occurred after the British TV personality and her friend, Adam Frisby had touched down in Dubai and were passing through airport security.
As Adam, who is the founder and CEO of fashion brand In The Style, recounted on his Instagram Stories, the pair were 'pulled up' when security officers came across Charlotte's adult device.
"Finally here after a stressful experience," Adam began. "Charlotte and I got pulled at the airport because she had a sex toy in her hand luggage."
He went on to say that Charlotte, 31, was almost 'arrested' but was let off after 'pleading' with security.
"She nearly got arrested and we had to plead with airport security. I mean you couldn’t make it up. Absolute belter of a start."
A 2010 story by Gulf News, an English newspaper in the UAE, quoted a Dubai Customs official saying that sex toys are 'prohibited in the UAE' and that bringing in such items is 'forbidden' and could result in 'legal action'.
