Charli XCX and Lorde Go Sheer in Yves Saint Laurent Looks
Charli XCX and Lorde wore looks from Yves Saint Laurent’s fall 2024 collection at a performance for Charli’s “Sweat” tour in New York.
Charli wore the collection’s opening look, a sheer tube dress made entirely of hosiery. She covered up with a coat embroidered with a flurry of feathers, giving the illusion that it was fur. She finished the look with large black sunglasses.

Lorde instead donned the runway’s closing ensemble, an all-black version of Charli’s outfit. She topped her look with a faux-fur peacoat, and shielded her eyes with rectangular glasses.
Anthony Vaccarello told WWD that the brand’s totally translucent silk stocking extravaganza for fall 2024 was inspired by ideals of fragility, something that surely strikes home for both musicians.
The two caused a stir online when Charli released her album “Brat,” which featured “Girl, so confusing,” a song said by many to be about her turbulent relationship with Lorde.
The speculation was seemingly put to rest when a remix of the song featuring Lorde was released, with the singers publicly talking out their issues.
Charli XCX has captured the zeitgeist with her latest album, which has become a cultural phenomenon.
In a TikTok interview, the avant-pop superstar explained the essence of being a “Brat” in simple terms: “You’re that girl who is a bit messy and loves to party and maybe says dumb things sometimes. She’s honest, blunt and a little bit volatile. That’s Brat.”
Look no further than the musician’s boost to the American brand Von Dutch.
On Feb. 29, the musician released “Von Dutch,” the lead single from her latest album, increasing searches for the brand by more than 400 percent, according to Google Trends analytics.
