Indie music legends The Charlatans have been announced as headliners for the DocksFest music festival in Cleethorpes next year.

Other acts include Ash, Maximo Park, Corella and Coach Party.

The event is being held at the Meridian Showground on Saturday 5 July.

Thousands of music fans attended the inaugural event earlier this year, with Razorlight, Feeder and The Lottery Winners among the headline acts.

Since breaking through in 1990, The Charlatans have had three UK number one albums and seven top 10 singles, including The Only One I Know and North Country Boy.

Festival founder Will Douglas said: "We're delighted to welcome The Charlatans as next year's DocksFest headliner.

"It gives me goose bumps to think we will be watching them bring the curtain down on Docksfest 2025 as the sun sets over Cleethorpes."

Earlier this year, more than 4,000 people attended the inaugural DocksFest, which was nominated in the UK Festival Awards 2024.

At the time, Mr Douglas said: "We've had people who have come from all over the country, from Liverpool, from Devon and from Scotland, so it's fantastic to see this location being on the map for the rest of the UK for live music."
