"He is watching over you all & so proud of your courage, strength & love.🙏🥰," one fan declared.

"Hard to believe 9 years already, but what a legacy he has left behind and how proud he would be of you and the boys 🤍," agreed a second.

"Beautiful picture…. René would be proud. Sending so much love. 💜," someone else shared.

Angélil died in 2016 at 73 following a battle with cancer.

Eddy and Nelson were 5 when their father died. Dion used Disney’s Up to help break the sad news to her young sons, according to People. Ahead of his funeral, she threw the boys a party, using a balloon analogy to help explain Angélil's death—explaining that he'd "gone up" and floated away.

“I did not want to relate the passing to doctors and have them be afraid. It’s the thing I’m most proud of,” she told the outlet.
