Celine Dion Issues Urgent Warning to Fans
Celine Dion is sounding the alarm on new AI-generated music that claims to contain her voice.
In a warning shared to her Instagram page on Friday, March 7, the "My Heart Will Go On" songstress alerted her followers to the situation, confirming that she is not associated with the "fake" recordings.
"It has come to our attention that unsanctioned, AI-generated music purporting to contain Celine Dion's musical performances, and name and likeness, is currently circulating online and across various digital service providers," she wrote in her statement on Friday.
Dion, 56, further warned her followers, "Please be advised that these recordings are fake and not approved, and are not songs from her official discography."
Fans in the comments were quick to rally behind the "I'm Alive" songstress, with many loyal fans insisting that AI-generated tracks can't even compare to Dion's raw talent.
"Even AI can't replace your voice," one Instagram user wrote in the comments.
"We all knew that wasn't your real voice singing," another person added, declaring, "There's only one Céline 👑."
"People need to leave the queen of voice alone has stopped making her into AI because her voice is better then AI," someone else wrote.
Other users took the opportunity to condemn artificial intelligence in general and praise Dion for setting the record straight.
"I am so frustrated at this," one user commented, adding, "It is so very wrong. Thank you for letting the world know this!"
"This AI crap is getting out of hand. There needs to be laws around this," someone else insisted.
Another person wrote, "That’s a nightmare Celine! Thank you for reporting it❤️."
