Celebrity Apprentice called ‘rigged’ by fans after shock elimination

Viewers are calling Celebrity Apprentice “rigged” after the shock elimination of a fan favourite contestant last night.

Last night’s challenge put the celebrities to the test when they had to create a viral dog-themed social media challenge.

Martha Kalifatidis’ team won the task with a series of comedic dog TikTok videos, winning $20,000 for her chosen charity Bully Zero.

Meanwhile, opposing project manager Ross Noble and his team were sent to the boardroom after taking a more serious approach to the challenge.

Rather than choosing a funny storyline, the comedian focused on creating an impactful movement about dogs not being used as accessories.

Ross later brought David and former AFL star Josh Gibson into the firing line with him for not being supportive enough during the challenge.

Both Josh and Ross accused the supermodel of being too much of a backstabber, commenting that he is a known “snake” from his time on Survivor.

“It’s very, very difficult,” Lord Sugar said in the boardroom. “On balance, I must look at the past seven tasks.

“And for that reason, Dave, you’re fired.”

After David’s shock elimination, fans took to Twitter to complain about the decision.

“David is dodgy, yes, but the team lost the challenge purely because of Ross,” one tweeted. “There has never been a clearer cut case.”

“Lord Sugar made a mistake on that one,” another commented. “Dave may be the slippery one, but his abilities/skills to play the game within the business bubble far outweigh the likes of Josh and Ross.”

A third added: “So they’re judged on previous tasks and not the current task, only when it suits!”

“I love when they change the rules for no reason,” someone else wrote.

Other fans commented that the firing was not too surprising after watching the UK series.

“If you’d watched the Brit version you’d know Sugar fires them for a myriad of reasons, not just the project manager,” one person tweeted.

The Veronicas were also eliminated within the first two minutes of the episode based on their team contributions in the previous challenge.

Since the premiere episode of Celebrity Apprentice, the pop stars have slammed the show on social media for their portrayal.

“What you have done to us is gut wrenching, soul destroying and the lowest thing you could ever do to us as women, daughters and carers,” the twins wrote in an open letter to the show’s producers on Instagram.

“You have used us at the most fragile time in our lives. This was never a game to us, this is our reality we were fighting for. Hoping to turn our pain into something positive. Things don’t get better from here for us. So you win. I hope it was worth it.”
