Carson Daly's Son Jackson, 15, Interviews Jenna Ortega About Meeting Beetlejuice: 'Definitely Scared Me' (Exclusive)
The 15-year-old interviewed Ortega and 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' costar Catherine O'Hara during a segment for 'NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt: Kids Edition'
Carson Daly's son Jackson is following in his dad's footsteps.
The 15-year-old had the opportunity to interview Beetlejuice Beetlejuice costars Jenna Ortega, Catherine O'Hara and Justin Theroux for an NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt: Kids Edition segment, airing Saturday, Sept 7. In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE ahead of the episode's release, Jackson asks Ortega what it was like to meet Michael Keaton in character as Beetlejuice for the first time.
“What was it like meeting Beetlejuice for the first time? Was he scary at all?” Jackson asks.
“He definitely scared me, but more so just because I didn’t know that it was coming," Ortega answers.
"I just got a tap on the shoulder and I turned around, I was doing like hair and makeup test and Michael was there. But he was introducing himself as Michael," she adds.

Daly, 51, shares Jackson and daughters Etta, 11, London, 9, and Goldie, 4 — with wife Siri, 43.
Back in July, Daly spoke with PEOPLE about how exciting it was to see his son Jackson interview golf legend Tiger Woods for a May episode of NBC's Nightly News: Kids Edition.
"It was ridiculous," Daly said. "I interviewed Tiger live on the air, and Jackson got him before that for Nightly News Kids. I mean, it was early in the morning, he was asleep in the car on the way to The Today Show, but he rallied and he wrote his own questions, and he had a great sit down with him."
The proud dad said that the weekend after the interview, he and Jackson got to see Woods, 48, again in Las Vegas.
"I was hosting a thing for him, and he saw Jackson, and he just looked at Jackson and went, 'Oh, you got your haircut, huh?' " Daly shared. "Jackson's like, 'Hey, Daddy, he knows me. He noticed I got my haircut.' So they're like best friends now."
In April, Daly told PEOPLE that his teenage son was beginning to learn how to drive.
"My teenager is 15. He's starting to drive, so that's been kind of crazy," Daly said at the time. "I have a pickup truck, so he drives my truck. It's going great. He's a really good driver."
Daly shared that it's been relatively easy teaching his son to drive and added that there haven't been any mishaps — yet.
"We're just [doing] little stuff right now," Daly said. "He's got some time. Because in New York you don't get your license [until] you're 17, which is crazy to me. But 17."
