Cardi B Was Temporarily "Paralyzed" After a "Freak Accident"

She announced her third pregnancy on August 1.

Cardi B is getting candid with her followers about a scary moment that happened during her pregnancy. While speaking with fans during an X Spaces chat, the rapper recounted a recent "freak accident" that left her temporarily "paralyzed" and almost caused her to lose her pregnancy.

“I had a fucking freak accident," she recalled. "I don’t know how something—well, it wasn’t little, it actually hurt.

“It doesn’t really happen often, but it become [sic] so big to the point I was literally paralyzed," she continued. "And that little thing almost cost me my little one to come."

The star (born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) said that luckily "it didn't" cause her to lose the baby.

"Yesterday I was feeling good. I came home, but I came home high as a kite," she said, adding that once the medicine wore off, she was in pain again. "Today, I woke up sober, honey. I’m dying, If I don’t feel good in four hours, I’m going to the hospital and I don’t give a fuck."

"I’mma exaggerate this shit so I can get more morphine. Morphine me down! I don’t give a damn," she joked.

Cardi announced her third pregnancy earlier this month just a day after it was announced that she filed for divorce from her husband Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus). The estranged couple share 5-year-old daughter Kulture and 2-year-old son Wave, though Cardi is seeking full custody of the children, according to Page Six.

"With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!" she wrote in her pregnancy announcement, which was accompanied by photos of her cradling her bump in a plunging red gown and matching jacket. "Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!"
