Halle Berry Wore a Sheer Top With Controversial Jeans on the Red Carpet
So wrong, it's right.
Jeans on the red carpet is a fashion risk in and of itself, but wearing a controversial pair of denim to a star-studded event? That's making a serious statement.
On Thursday, Halle Berry attended Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA premiere in Los Angeles. For the occasion, she dressed casually, opting for a sheer shirt and an unexpected pair of blue jeans. On top, she wore a black see-through button-down that featured a ruffled collar and billowing sleeves while showing off her matching black bra underneath. She teamed the shirt with super low-rise denim that was practically falling off her hips. Aside from the fact that her jeans were seemingly two sizes too big, Berry amped up the divisiveness with a dirty wash, distressing, and an above-the-ankle cut.
The Oscar-winner accessorized with a pair of black pointy-toe heels and styled her brunette bob in tousled waves with wispy forehead fringe. She finished off her glam with a pink glossy lip and a swipe of coral-colored blush to each cheek.
Berry's latest outing came days after she participated in the 2024 HLTH Conference, where she discussed her own menopause journey and women's health while promoting her wellness brand, Respin.
“Oh my goodness, what deserves a re-spin more than menopause? Shouldn’t we rethink everything we thought we knew about menopause? Because really what we know is pretty much nothing,” Berry said at the event, according to Women's Wear Daily.
She continued, “I realized that culture needed a shift, because when I looked up a woman in midlife, I saw an image, a Google image, that was shocking to me. The midlife woman in the image was in her 40s and was pretty much hunched over, not standing straight anymore and all the way until we’re walking along with the cane. Menopause needed a rebrand."
