Calling All Angels! Cher to Headline Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

The 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is poised to be the lingerie giant's big comeback.

The annual televised runway show was canceled in 2019 following declining ratings and pushback against the body image standards that the VS Angels and models set for women. The new iteration of the show will feature a significantly more diverse lineup of shapes, sizes, gender identities and abilities to embrace a new culture of inclusivity for the brand.

"The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will deliver precisely what our customers have been asking for—the glamour, runway, fashion, fun, wings, entertainment—all through a powerful, modern lens reflecting who we are today," a rep for Victoria's Secret said in a show announcement. "We're thrilled to share a women-led articulation of this iconic property later this year!"

Of course, there will be some familiar elements—including at least one of the most iconic Angels making her first appearances in nearly two decades.

One of the first and most famous Victoria's Secret Angels, Tyra Banks, will make her big comeback for the 2024 show. She leveraged her fame as a supermodel to host her own talk show (plus Dancing with the Stars and America's Got Talent!), spearhead America's Next Top Model and even founded her own brand of ice cream.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid will return for the brand's big comeback.

She gushed of the show's return, "It's everything iconic that we know and love from Victoria's Secret—I think that the world wants so many parts of the old Victoria Secret Show back. But I think what's so great about it happening now is that we’re asking for the things we love, and we’re also asking for a lot of new qualities that are important to us as a generation. And I think that we can have both. We can have the magic of the past and we can also do this again with our own set of expectations, and that's what makes it beautiful."

Devyn Garcia

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show's return will be Miami-based model Devyn Garcia's runway debut for the brand.

"I am so honored and excited," she said. "The energy surrounding the return is fresh, as we are representing all women across all sizes and backgrounds—including myself! The show is coming back in a new way that fosters an uplifting environment for women and I’m proud to be a part of this revitalization."

Imaan Hammam

Longtime Victoria's Secret model Imaan Hammam will hit the runway for the return of its fashion show.

"I was just 11 years old when I watched my first VS show," she told VS Insider. "Seeing Gisele and Adriana Lima strut down the runway on the TV was so special and inspiring. It would be broadcasted in the Netherlands, and I would stay inside to watch the girls walk every year after that with my friends and family. It was always something we looked forward to!"

Candice Swanepoel

Candice Swanepoel made her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut in 2007 and is excited to return.

"It means I get to spend time with friends and colleagues I haven’t seen in ages," the South African-born beauty told VS Insider. "Each show was such a bonding experience for us all, I can't wait to make new epic memories."

Mayowa Nicholas

Mayowa Nicholas is excited to have an epic girls' night at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She told the brand, "For me, it's all about hanging out with the incredible women backstage. One of the coolest parts of fashion shows is the backstage vibe with the girls—it's like a sisterhood. And of course, I'm super excited about the glam, the wings, and honestly, just everything!"

Taylor Hill

Model Taylor Hill has worked with Victoria's Secret for more than a decade and will hit the catwalk for them once more in the 2024 show.

"It means a lot to me. I grew up watching it and I also got to be a part of the show from a young age," she explained. "I feel I was able to establish myself and my career because of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show."

Paloma Elsesser

Paloma Elsesser said the VS Fashion Show's return had special meaning: "A fresh start and a new vision for the future. It means stepping into a space that’s evolving and making room for more diverse voices and bodies."

The full lineup of 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show performers has yet to be announced, but we do know that it will be an all-woman show and that Cher will headline. Victoria's Secret has left hints on social media at some of the other performers, and many followers have speculated that Sabrina Carpenter will be one of them—and seeing as Victoria's Secret created Carpenter's look for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, it's a pretty good guess.
