Bunnings launches new range of $6 collectables

Move over Ooshies and Little Shops because there’s a new range of collectables in town and this we’re predicting they’re about to fly off the shelves.

Unlike the previous Coles and Woolworths collectables collections, Bunnings has scrapped the plastic and instead released a range of gardening kits for children, which come in at just $6 each.

Budding green-fingered children will be able to start their own butterfly garden, as inside The Little Gardeners packets there are three packets of seeds, three peat pots, three soil mix pellets, three popsicle sticks for plant tags and a booklet with easy growing instructions.

Sydney mum Ash, who goes by the name Bargain Life and Style on Instagram, uploaded a snap to her page on Tuesday, showing her local Bunnings fully stocked with the range.

She noted that the collectables have come at a great time, as they’re a ‘perfect holiday activity’.

‘Is there anything better than home grown fruit, veg & herbs?” she wrote.

People flooded the comments section they’ll have to get their hands on the range for their own kids, with many saying that it’s a great way to get kids into gardening.

Last year, shoppers went wild for collectables after Coles and Woolies both released their Ooshies and Little Shops around the same time.

Needless to say, kids and adults alike went bonkers for the Little Shop mini delights, with the Coles collection featuring such items as mini Arnotts Barbecue Shapes, Heinz baked Beans and Tip Top bread.

Woolworths offered up nine Ooshies characters from The Lion King, including Simba, Nala and Mufasa in original colours and gold versions. The supermarket giant also released a special cub version of Simba and Nala, and a translucent blue ‘Spirit Mufasa’ Lion King Ooshie to collect.
