Brooks Nader Melds Metallics and Knitwear at 2024 U.S. Open in Casablanca Tenniscore Skirt Set and Fall’s Big Jewelry Trend
Brooks Nader put a shiny spin on the tenniscore trend while attending the 2024 U.S. Open in New York on Wednesday. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl spectated the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament, which concludes on Sunday.
Nader selected a metallic knitwear set by Casablanca, which consisted of a ringer polo top and a matching miniskirt. Her preppy coordinates nodded to the tenniscore trend, which took off this year thanks to the release of the Zendaya-starring sports drama, “Challengers.”

The model also brought another major fashion trend to the Open: statement earrings. Nader selected large gold discs adorned with pearlescent stones, channeling the ‘80s-inspired earrings seen on the runway at Saint Laurent’s fall 2024 show. The French label isn’t the only fashion house to partake in the trend, with Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Jil Sander and Fendi, among others, embracing the oversize accessories in their recent collections.
Nader is in New York following the announcement of her “Dancing With the Stars” casting. On Wednesday, she stopped by “Good Morning America” for an interview alongside fellow competitors Phaedra Parks and Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher.
Nader explained that although she only has “a little bit of dance experience,” she’s excited to compete for the Mirrorball Trophy with partner Gleb Savchenko.
Last month, WWD exclusively revealed that Nader is collaborating with Hudson Jeans on her first apparel collection, out in March.
“I got a little denim boot camp over at the Centric Brands’ office in L.A., and it was so fascinating,” she said, referring to the company that owns and operates Hudson.
The model’s Hudson capsule comprises 17 pieces, including trendy straight-leg and low-rise denim silhouettes. It also features closet staples like white T-shirts and leather jackets. Nader was particularly inspired by the “off-duty” styles of ’90s supermodels: her mood board was plastered with vintage photos of Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.
