Bride's dance performance demands spark hilarious reactions: 'I would end a friendship'

The brides list of jaw dropping demands included every member of the bridal party performing a dance routine.

In the latest weird and whacky wedding saga to unfold on social media, a bride's list of demands to her bridal party has left internet users both baffled and amused. Shared in the popular That's it...I'm wedding shaming Facebook group, the message from the bride lays out a series of requirements that some have dubbed as total bridezilla behaviour.

"I need everyone's availability for dance performances," the message reads, setting the tone for the intense requests to follow. The bride makes it clear that failure to respond promptly will result in exclusion from the bridal team.

"If you can't respect it, excuse yourself out," she asserts, adding to the pressure of her approaching wedding day.

The bossy bride goes on to insist that "everyone is performing at least one" dance routine at the wedding, before diving into a laundry list of additional requests. These include specifics about dresses, beige heels, gold jewellery, and accommodation arrangements.

The demand for dance performances from the bridal party prompted a flurry of reactions online, with some commenters expressing disbelief at the notion of mandatory choreography.

"I would simply never talk to them again," quipped one user, while another joked about passing out at the mere thought of it.

"I would end a friendship over mandatory dance numbers," another group member laughed.

Offering a different perspective, another commenter humorously remarked: "I would lean waaaay into that s**t and do an interpretive dance nobody would ever forget. Extra points if they asked me to leave."

In defence of tradition

However, amidst the laughter, a few group members defended the bride's request, noting that dance performances are a common tradition in many Eastern cultures.

"I don't have a problem with the dance performance," one group member stated, "performances by bridal party/groomsmen/family are normal at South Asian weddings."

It's all in the delivery

Yet, it wasn't just the dance requirement that caught people's attention. Many were quick to critique the bride's delivery and overall demeanour in the message.

"Her delivery sucks ass," remarked one user, capturing the sentiment of many others who found the tone off-putting.

The rollicking responses continued to pour in, with users poking fun at the absurdity of the situation.

"Ever since I was a little girl it's been MY DREAM to cyber bully my loved ones into servitude," joked one commenter.

"Good lord," someone else chimed in, "If you guys can't RESPECT my desire to throw MYSELF an elaborate party and plan your lives around ME, just LEAVE."

"I would low key love to receive a text this insane because that would make it so easy to nope out."

"I hope the next thing she saw was a string of 'xxx has left the chat'," joked someone else.

Ultimately, the viral post serves as a reminder of the wild and unpredictable nature of weddings, where emotions and expectations often run high.

In this case of this blunt bride, the internet has collectively "noped" out of the wedding altogether.
