A bride has hit out at her own cousin for wearing a skin-tight, bodycon dress to her wedding.

The commotion was first raised in a popular Facebook thread where the woman asked others to edit her family member’s outfit as she was unhappy with how it looked in photos.

“Can anyone edit my cousin’s dress on the left to cover up her boobs, make her dress longer and her stomach smoother,” she wrote.

“I will donate $3 to my favourite edit. I have permission to edit. Thanks.”

The dress in question was a sleeveless, dark green design with scooped, low-cut neckline and mini hem.

Critics coming through

And following the initial request to edit the outfit, users didn’t hold back on their own commentary, with one critic going so far as to label the look “horrible.”

“I’m all for dressing how you like but seriously it’s a wedding, dress for your size and have some class,” another concluded.

“I thought she was wearing a one-piece swimsuit.”

But the disapproval didn’t end with the dress itself, with others poking fun at the bride’s initial request for it to be changed.

“The most offensive thing about this whole post is that she offered to pay the editor $3 lol,” one commenter joked.

“Do we get the whole $3 all at once? Not sure if I can handle so much wealth.”

And while some found it taboo to rock a wedding outfit the bride has literally asked to be altered, it’s far from the first time a similar controversy has occurred.

Last week, it came to light a wedding guest died after the bride wished she 'couldn't come' while days earlier another bride was herself trolled for wearing a romper which showed off a 'massive wedgie'.
