Yellowstone fans are surely still reeling from the intense return of the Paramount Network drama (no spoilers here!), but there's other news happening in the Taylor Sheridan universe. This time, the prolific producer is teaming up with one of country music's biggest stars for an all-new show.

Taylor, who is also the mastermind behind 1883, 1923, Special Ops: Lioness, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and Landman (we could go on!), is now joining forces with Blake Shelton for a series called The Road, and it's a major departure from his typical action-packed dramas.

According to People, the show will focus on a "headlining superstar (to be announced) on their journey to discover the next big artist." The reality singing competition will chronicle several musicians as they join the headliner on the road and perform as his opening act at venues across the country. If fans like what they see, they'll continue on to the next stop in the tour.

Taylor says, "There is a revolution taking place in country music. Building a platform with Blake for the next leaders of that revolution is an incredibly exciting venture. No more shiny floors and studio audiences. This is where the rubber meets the road – literally. Get in the van, go to the next town and win the crowd. Do it enough, and you become the next leader. Simple as that." Blake explains, "I’m a big fan of Taylor’s incredible work, and I’m excited to team with him and my long-time collaborator, Lee [Metzger], on The Road."

Of course, Blake is no stranger to television himself. The "God's Country" singer spent more than two decades as a coach on The Voice and hosts celebrity game show Barmageddon. Still, we're very excited to see what he and Taylor have in store! The only bad news: The series isn't slated to premiere until fall 2025.
