Black Friday sales 2020: Big W, Kmart, Aldi and more best deals

Some of retail’s biggest names have thrown down the gauntlet in the lead-up to Friday’s mega shopping event, the Black Friday sales.

Kmart, Big W and Aldi are making Christmas wish-lists come true by slashing up to 60% off toys, tech, fashion and homewares.

Originally a post-Thanksgiving tradition in America, Black Friday eventually made its way down under along with its sister event, Cyber Monday which, as the name suggests, takes place on the following Monday.

Even though it’s not technically Black Friday yet, many sales are already underway but it’s best to check the individual stores and brands for exact dates and times.

Kmart’s ‘Bright Friday’ sale

Kmart is switching the ‘Black’ for ‘Bright Friday,’ their four-day sale event that kicks off online at 12:01 am AEDT on Friday, November 27 and runs until Sunday, November 29.

While Kmart is encouraging customers to shop on the Kmart website the sale will also be on in stores (except Maryborough, Rundle Mall and KHub stores).

Stores in VIC and NSW will have extended trading hours and shoppers can pre-book a spot online to avoid queues. Kmart has warned that ‘unprecedented shipping disruptions’ have impacted stock levels across the country, particularly NSW and QLD.

SodaKING Windsor Soda Maker, $27 (RRP $69.95)
