Billy Baldwin's 3 Kids: All About the Actor’s Son and Daughters (Including the Popular Pastime They Enjoy with Him!)
Billy Baldwin shares three adult children with his wife Chynna Phillips Baldwin
Billy Baldwin has a close-knit bond with his three kids: Jameson, Vance and Brooke.
The Backdraft actor married his wife, Wilson Phillips singer Chynna Phillips Baldwin, in 1995. A few years later, they welcomed their first child, daughter Jameson, in 2000. They were joined by son Vance in 2001, followed by daughter Brooke in 2004.
While they are part of the larger Baldwin family, Billy and Chynna kept their children mostly away from the spotlight, rarely appearing on red carpets and at events.
Since then, Jameson, Vance and Brooke have all moved out of their family house, setting down roots of their own in different parts.
Although the Baldwin children aren’t too vocal on social media, their famous dad has let fans in on some of their major accomplishments and family gatherings.
Here’s everything to know about Billy Baldwin's kids: Jameson, Vance and Brooke.
They are close in age
Billy and Chynna welcomed their children only a few years apart: Jameson was born in 2000, followed by Vance in 2001 and Brooke in 2004.
While this meant that the pair had three young kids, the Sliver actor soaked up every moment with them.
"The thing that concerns me most as a parent is can I slow everything down? It’s going too fast," he told PEOPLE in October 2007. "We’re having the time of our lives."
According to Chynna, Billy might have felt that way because he enjoyed the speedy pace they had to adjust to. When he wasn't acting, he did "classic" father activities, like coaching Little League.
"He thrives on the insanity of it. He likes the chaos," she said. "If it were up to him he’d say, ‘Let’s go for one more!’ [For now] three is a good number."
They grew up New York Yankees fans
Billy, who was raised as a New York Yankees fan, passed on his passion for the MLB team to his son and daughters.
Over the years, the actor has shared anecdotes of going to baseball games with his own father and the different memories he has with Vance, Jameson and Brooke while watching their “beloved” Yankees.
More recently, Billy experienced an exciting moment with his kids when the Yankees made it to the World Series for the first time since 2009.
In October 2024, the Baldwin family got to root for the Pinstripers during games 1 and 2 when they played in California against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Billy proudly posed for selfies with Vance and Jameson who donned their own team gear.
"LFGOOOOOOOOOO YANKEES !!!!! ⚾️,” he captioned a photo.
Vance was diagnosed with cancer in 2018
Aside from the rare family outing as a child, Vance grew up away from the cameras, and his parents shared updates about him now and then.
More recently, in October 2019, Billy and Chynna revealed via Instagram that Vance, then 17, was in remission after being diagnosed with cancer the year prior.
They had decided to keep the news private as Vance underwent treatment, including “28 rounds of chemo.”
“A year ago today my son Vance was diagnosed with cancer... he was 16 years old,” wrote Billy, who reposted Vance’s own celebratory post revealing that he was cancer-free.
“He kept it very quiet... we all did,” the father of three continued. “He went through 28 rounds of chemo yet stayed VERY positive, focused and kept his life as normal as possible.”
Throughout the process, Billy said that Vance remained “sharp as a tack,” “funny as hell” and “tough as nails.” The actor added, “Courage, strength, bravery, attitude, warrior... never seen anything like it. Never been prouder.”
Vance and Jameson enrolled at the University of Southern California
In June 2021, Chynna excitedly shared that Vance got into his "dream school" after she and Billy accompanied him to the mailbox to read his acceptance letter from the University of Southern California.
Shortly after, Vance enrolled at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, where he's currently working toward a bachelor's degree in urban studies and planning, according to his LinkedIn.
He's set to graduate in May 2025, and in the meantime, he and his dad are big USC football fans, often attending games together.
Similarly, Billy's daughter Jameson got into USC and graduated from the Roski School of the Arts in May 2024. The Baldwin family celebrated her accomplishment after she graduated summa cum laude, the highest level of academic recognition.
“Congratulations to our amazing, wonderful, talented daughter Jameson,” Billy wrote on Instagram. "Such gratitude, appreciation and respect for the tremendous amount of devotion and passion you've put into this.”
He added, “Love and adore you and are so proud of you.”
Brooke left Los Angeles for the Big Apple
As the youngest, Brooke explored a path different from Vance and Jameson outside the classroom.
After she was valedictorian at her high school graduation, Billy commemorated Brooke packing up her bags and relocating to New York City on her own.
“Brooke is off to New York!! Graduated high school a year early and is taking a gap year to pursue her dreams working in the Big Apple," he wrote on Instagram in October 2022, alongside a gallery of father-daughter snaps.
The Forgetting Sarah Marshall alum added, "Giving her a goodbye squeeze at Santa Barbara airport."
Brooke is a model
While living on the East Coast, Brooke has carved a name out for herself in the modeling industry.
She signed with Ford Models, the New York modeling agency that previously represented her famous older cousin, Hailey Bieber.
Since then, Brooke (who goes by the name Brooks as a model) has worked with several brands. In 2024, she posed for Alice and Olivia while on set with Vogue during New York Fashion Week.
Today, Brooke shares peeks at her ongoing gigs on Instagram and TikTok.
Jameson is an artist who has appeared on her mom’s YouTube
After earning her degree from USC's Roski School of the Arts, Jameson has been experimenting with different forms of work, including photography and painting.
She has also joined her mom, Chynna, on her YouTube show California Preachin’.
During a September 2024 appearance, Jameson quizzed Chynna about her Wilson Phillips days, which quickly became an oral history lesson of how she and Billy first met at an airport.
“Dad was a super fan,” Chynna teased, referencing their '90s pop trio.
