$15 Big W shorts that rival high-end brands six times the price
Fashion fans on a budget are set to storm Big W stores this week after the discount retailer launched a fashion buy that’s giving big brands a run for their money.
As the weather heats up and our layers gradually come off, we all know how difficult finding appropriate, comfy, stylish and most of all affordable shorts to live in for the warmer months can be.
Choosing between pure linen numbers from expensive brands that will cost just shy of $100, or a cheap and sometimes nasty pair with a more comfortable price tag is a tricky balancing act, though it seems one you won’t have to do for much longer.
BIG W’s latest clothing line includes a very chic pair of shorts that bast a linen blend and a very happy price to boot.
The Women's Linen Blend Pull On Shorts retail for just $15 and are made of 55% Linen, 45% Viscose.

While the blend may not be quite as organic as a pure linen item, the upside is the shorts crease far less easily, and retail for about one-sixth of the price of their pure counterparts.
The item comes in colours including green, cream, blue, and black and at just $15 you could easily get one of each and still spend less than the average pair of summer shorts will set you back.
The shorts come with an elasticised waistband, a drawstring tie and a wide leg that makes for a very flattering fit.
Meanwhile, other Aussie brands like Country Road and Seed will have similar items on offer with a pure linen blend if you’re looking for the most breathable item possible.
Country Road’s Organically Grown Linen Shorts are an almost identical option in 100% linen, though at $89.95 they’re a more costly investment for your summer wardrobe.
Similarly, Seed Heritage has a full linen option with the same tie-up detail and flattering fit available though, again, at $79.95 it’s a slightly pricier option though a more pure material.
BIG W’s latest buy isn’t the first time the budget-friendly shop has turned heads with a very stylish fashion item for less.
Over winter shoppers lost it over a $25 cardigan that was hailed as being exceptional quality for its price range by fashion influencers online.
The burnt orange knit featured a button front closure, a ribbed finish and long balloon sleeves.
