Beyoncé postpones big announcement due to California wildfires: 'I continue to pray'
Queen Bey promised some news would drop on Tuesday, Jan. 14, but is rescheduling because of the tragedy.
As a Christmas Day present, Beyoncé capped off her NFL game halftime show with an Instagram tease that a big announcement would arrive Tuesday, Jan. 14. But that announcement is now on pause.
"The January 14th announcement will be postponed until a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles," Beyoncé wrote on Instagram on Monday, the day prior to the expected news drop. "I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community."

Following her Christmas Day halftime performance during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on Netflix, Queen Bey's socials lit up with a teaser of her on a horse, waving an American flag to the sound of Mariachi horns and the date "1/14/25."
Fans and music press have since speculated about what the announcement could be, including a Cowboy Carter album tour or even a deluxe edition, including even more songs than the original 27 on the album.

The singer's Christmas Day NFL halftime show — dubbed the "Beyoncé Bowl" — kicked off with her emerging from backstage at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston clad in a white cowboy hat riding a white steed while singing "16 Carriages." Country singers Tanner Adell, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts, and Brittney Spencer then joined her for a cover of the Beatles' classic "Blackbird."
She then took to the field for a showcase of songs from Cowboy Carter, including "Ya Ya," "My House," "Spaghettii," "Riiverdance," "Sweet Honey Buckiin," "Levii's Jeans," "Jolene," and "Texas Hold 'Em."
During the performance, she was joined by Shaboozey, Post Malone, and her Grammy-winning daughter and Mufasa costar, Blue Ivy Carter.
The most awarded artist in Grammy history with 32 wins, Beyoncé broke another record in November when she also became the most-nominated artist in Grammys history, after receiving 11 additional nods for the upcoming 2025 Grammys — including for Record, Song, and Album of the Year — for Cowboy Carter. With 99 total nominations now to her name, she has surpassed her husband Jay-Z's 88.
She earned nods in every Grammy country category for Cowboy Carter, including Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album — despite landing no CMA Award nominations amid strange criticism that the country album isn't really country. The 2025 Grammy Awards take place on Sunday, Feb. 2.
