Ben Affleck and His Lookalike Son Samuel Had a Matching Style Moment While Sitting Courtside

Ben Affleck turned a father-son basketball outing into a matching athleisure moment as he and his youngest mini-me sat courtside on February 6. It’s no secret that Affleck’s son Samuel is an avid Los Angeles basketball fan, with the 12-year-old repping the Lakers at various Crypto.com Arena games over the years with his mom Jennifer Garner and even Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Lopez . On Thursday, however, the Gone Girl actor and his lookalike son enjoyed some quality time together as they showed off their similar taste in footwear.

As they watched the Lakers compete against the Golden State Warriors, the father-son pair could be seen chatting and sharing a bag of popcorn in their courtside seats. Later, Affleck and Samuel could be seen chatting with Lakers player Stephen Curry on the side of the court. Despite their obvious camaraderie, the filmmaker and his youngest appeared to have gone for contrasting sartorial statements at the weekday game. Affleck leaned into a tailored match look in a neutral-hued turtleneck sweater, chino khakis, and a camel top coat, while Samuel–who turns 13 on February 27–opted for sporty attire in a graphic black Denim Tears hoodie worn under a LeBron James Lakers jersey with the legendary athlete’s number “23” emblazoned in the back.

However, with one glance at their footwear, it was clear that the Affleck men share the same taste in limited-edition sneakers. Affleck opted for a pair of ultra-rare Nike Air Force 1s from Virgil Abloh’s Off-White edition from 2017’s original ‘The Ten’ collection to add a street style edge to his otherwise office-ready look. Meanwhile, his youngest son followed suit with a pair of black Off-White Air Force 1 sneakers peeping out from under his black Chrome Hearts sweatpants.

Affleck and Samuel’s latest game-day hangout comes just months after the pair last showed off an identical sneakers moment amid the Justice League actor’s divorce from Lopez. While watching the Los Angeles Lakers and the Toronto Raptors compete on November 10, they wore the exact same Nike Jordan sneakers with white laces as well as patterned black, tan, and plaid material.

Judging from Affleck and his son's latest twinning Lakers appearance, it's clear that when it comes to footwear, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
