A Beginner’s Guide to the Alabama Barker vs. Bhad Bhabie Beef
Alabama Barker (daughter to Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker/stepdaughter to Kourtney Kardashian) and Bhad Bhabie (rapper/internet personality who made the phrase “Catch me outside, how ’bout that?” inescapable about a decade ago) are not getting along.
To put it simply, they’re not getting along thanks to their respective relationships with Le Vaughn. On top of being Bhabie’s on-again/off-again partner and the father of her 1-year-old daughter, Kali Love, LV is the root cause of a monthslong feud during which Alabama and Bhabie have exchanged a handful of diss tracks. Most recently? Twenty-one-year-old Bhad Bhabie dropped a song titled “Ms. Whitman” in which she employs a Travis Barker lookalike and deems 19-year-old Alabama “Ms. I Took Your Man.”
But how did this sparring match reach such a nasty boiling point? Allow us to guide you through the main events.
Some quick background on Bhad Bhabie and LV
LV and Bhad Bhabie have been linked since 2020 and welcomed their daughter last March. In July of 2024, TMZ reported that Bhabie shared footage of Le Vaughn “pushing her to the ground and pressing his knee against her back,” which was followed by a breakup announcement.
Between July and December, the two seemingly broke up and reunited several times. Then in November of 2024—when fans expressed concern about her physical condition and her decision to reunite with Le Vaughn—Bhad Bhabie revealed that she was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer and going through treatment.
How Alabama got involved...
On December 17 2024, Bhad Bhabie hopped on her Instagram story to claim “@alabamaluellabarker took my man” and declared herself “single.” Alabama then slid into the comments of The Shade Room’s post about the claims to respond “#ew.” She also posted a TikTok that threw light shade at Bhabie, lip-syncing to a JT video that says, “You think I’m beefing with you?” and captioning it “I’d never want a BUM.”
Bhad Bhabie took this response very seriously and hopped back on Instagram to reiterate her claims.
“A man gonna b a man but a hoe that know about you and call you a friend is a whole different level of disrespect. Especially to a postpartum mom. I’ve watched her talk to numerous men with girlfriends but never thought I would see the day she did it to me,” she wrote in her story.
On December 19, Alabama dropped a couple of her own IG Story statements. In them, she alleged that LV had pursued her for over a year and falsely claimed he was single and that—per screenshots captured by The Shade Room—he threw a bottle at her head. She then claimed to have apologized to Bhabie for any misunderstanding.
Alabama continued to make her argument on TikTok, where she posted a video with screenshot receipts to corroborate her earlier claims and to clarify that she was unaware of Bhabie’s cancer diagnosis throughout this debacle.
And if anyone’s wondering what LV had to say in response to all of his, he took to IG to deny Alabama’s accusations, share a cozy photo of the two of them, and say that she lied to protect her image. So there’s that.
Enter the diss tracks...
On January 10, 2025, Bhad Bhabie took the beef to the studio and dropped her diss track “Over Cooked” (which LV produced). In the (quite catchy) song, she dropped a bombshell claim that Alabama hooked up with the rapper Tyga and became pregnant. (Honestly a gag for anyone who’s kept up with Tyga’s decade-long tie to the Kardashian clan. He’s Alabama’s step-aunt Kylie Jenner’s ex and also the father of Alabama’s step-cousin Dream’s brother King. Totally understand if you're having trouble tracking these relations.)
The lyrics? “Hatin’-ass hoe tried steal my baby daddy (Baby daddy) / F---in’ on Soulja [Boy] and Tyga got you pregnant (Uh).”
Alabama and Tyga both quickly shut that accusation down.
This the dumbest shit I ever heard.
yall believe anything yall see online.
I have never had any sort of physical relationship with Alabama. It’s honestly ridiculous I even have to address it.— T-Raww (@Tyga) January 31, 2025
Meanwhile, Alabama took to IG once again to state the following:
“To be clear, I've never been pregnant, never had an abortion, and have never been alone with Tyga or Soulja Boy [another rapper Bhabie claimed Alabama hooked up with].”
Alabama then dropped the track “Cry Bhabie” on February 7. In it, she mocks Bhabie for her emotional Instagram callouts, says yet again that the Tyga accusation was a lie, and even brings her dad Travis into the mix, saying, “Travis told me, ‘Go and turn up,’ it’s givin’ Hype Beast.” (The fact that Travis Barker's even aware of this beef is truly baffling, but I digress.)
This brings us to the latest release in this saga, “Ms. Whitman,” which dropped the evening of February 24. The title of Bhad Bhabie’s diss track was inspired by Alabama’s namesake, the character Alabama Whitman in the 1993 film True Romance.
In this song, Bhabie takes a shot at Kourtney Kardashian (sorry, Kourt), saying she took her sister’s “second-hand” because Travis has admitted to previously having feelings for Kim Kardashian in his 2016 memoir. She also says Alabama stole her rap flow from the artist Latto and straight-up threatens Alabama (“Keep my baby daddy name out of your f***ing mouth before I Will Smith it”).
While teasing the song, Bhabie posted a video rapping the lyrics wearing a long blonde wig and pajamas—a look Alabama is known for sporting often online. To this, Alabama wrote on her Instagram Story, “Imitation is the best form of flattery.” Beyond that, Alabama has yet to address the “Ms. Whitman” song, but trust that we’re patiently waiting for a development there....
