Australian men voted hottest on planet

Australian men are hot property, according to a survey conducted by an online travel and dating site.

Our boys were named hottest men on the planet by website Miss Travel, which provides the slightly creepy service of matching “generous travellers with attractive girls or guys”.

The survey asked respondents which nationalities were the sexiest. Aussie men were voted into top spot, with Italian maschi upholding their romantic reputation in second.

A dubious grip on geography meant that Britain was deemed to have the third hottest cohort of men in the world, and Scottish men (who are also British) came fourth.

And while defending champions Spain may have crashed and burned in the 2014 World Cup, Spanish men can take solace in the fact that they came a respectable fifth in the hottest nationalities poll.

While Aussie women made the top ten, it was further down the list at number seven. We were outclassed by Brazil, land of the supermodel, which unsurprisingly was voted the home of the planet’s hottest women.

Women from Russia, Colombia, Britain and the Philippines rounded out the top five.
