Beauty queen booted from restaurant for ‘inappropriate' outfit

A beauty queen has claimed she was kicked out of a restaurant due to her outfit being too 'inappropriate'.

Erika Helin, who was named Miss Finland in 2018, took to Instagram to blast the restaurant after she was allegedly asked to leave for wearing a black mini-skirt and a pink bralette with a small heart pattern and a love heart-shaped clasp.

According to The Sun, Erika claimed she was with friends when a security guard apparently asked her to leave and "dragged her out" of the restaurant in Helsinki.

"Although I didn't object in any way, when I got there, loudly criticised my choice of outfit," she said.

The beauty queen added she could have bought another outfit from a store nearby if she was rejected at the door to save her from being kicked out at all.

"In my opinion, it is contradictory to even take a customer in if the outfit is not suitable," she claimed, according to The Sun.

In another post on Instagram, Erika shared her outfit with her followers, sparking debate about whether the outfit was indeed inappropriate.

"Looks more like maybe a bikini top and you can't go to a bar in them," one said.

"Totally inappropriate for a restaurant. Better for a fish and chip shop on the beach," another claimed.

Others threw their support behind the beauty queen saying she did not deserve the treatment she received.

"Must have been strangely sensitive employees who were annoyed by the bright and happy colours and patterns and a young beautiful woman," one wrote.

"I don't think you should have been thrown out of the restaurant without mentioning it in advance. Like wtf is going on?" another questioned.

"So gorgeous," a third added.

Erika said in a follow-up post she understood restaurants had dress codes but did not understand why she was allowed entry in the first place.
