Caped Crusader is billed as “a reimagining of the Batman mythology” with J.J. Abrams, The Batman director Matt Reeves and Batman: The Animated Series veteran Bruce Timm all on board as executive producers. Along with billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne, aka crime-fighting superhero Batman (voiced by Hamish Linklater), the series will feature fan-favorite characters like Selina Kyle/Catwoman (voiced by Christina Ricci), Harley Quinn (voiced by Jamie Chung) and Harvey Dent/Two-Face (voiced by Diedrich Bader).

“Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear,” the official synopsis reads. “Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human — the BATMAN. His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.”

Batman: Caped Crusader premieres Thursday, Aug. 1 on Prime Video. What do you think of the new-look Penguin? Share your thoughts in a comment below.
