Barbara Corcoran's Fans Declare They Love a 'Petty Queen' After She Shares Revenge Tale

Barbara Corcoran's fans rely on the real estate mogul for her no-nonsense business advice—but it turns out the Shark Tank star has a pretty sharp sense of humor, too.

Corcoran, 75, took to Instagram on Monday, Feb. 24, to share a video of herself dancing to "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out," by Role Model.

In the clip, Corcoran smiled and spun around, wearing a pink long-sleeved blouse with a tie at the neck and a pair of orange slacks.

"Thinking about how I rented an office, three floors above my ex so I could step in the elevator, smile, and say...'GOING UP!'" Corcoran wrote over the footage, adding, "That felt good! 😂🙂‍↕️" in her caption.

Corcoran's followers got a huge kick out of her revenge tale.

"We love a petty queen 👸🏻," wrote one commenter.

"Why be the bigger person when you can be the person on a higher floor?" somebody joked.

"The kind of energy I need for 2025 👏🔥" raved another fan.

"Have Barbara Corcoran and Taylor Swift ever been seen together at the same time? 😉" someone else quipped.

This isn't the first time Corcoran has referenced her ex—who apparently helped motivate her to become the successful entrepreneur she is today.

On a 2017 episode of Business Insider's podcast, Success! How I Did It, Corcoran opened up about how her ex-boyfriend, Ramone Simone, inadvertently fueled her ambition by doubting in her abilities.

Early in their relationship, Simone gave Corcoran $1,000 and said she could take 49% of their business, the Corcoran-Simone company. But seven years later, Corcoran explained, Simone came home and told her he was going to marry her secretary.

When they split up, Simone told Corcoran she would "never succeed" without him.

"It just hit me in the gut and I felt that fever in my body like, 'I'll be damned if you ever see me not succeed,'" she said. "I felt like I would kill not to let that thing happen."

As for moving floors above him, she explained, "I went immediately to my landlord to ask for a new lease on another space and it was a tough market. He happily gave it to me and it was cheaper than my other lease by a few hundred dollars a month. And I loved getting out of that elevator with [Ramone] Simone and his new wife every day and saying, 'Sorry, I'm going up.'"

While Corcoran appeared to be in good spirits in her recent Instagram video, she recently opened up to The New York Times about the devastation of losing her home in the Los Angeles fires, explaining, "I feel like I lost my sweetheart."
