Bachelorette Angie Kent slams mag over cosmetic work claims

Former Bachelorette Angie Kent has slammed a magazine over claims about the amount — and staggering cost — of cosmetic work she’s had done.

The reality TV star took to Instagram on Sunday to call out Aussie publication Body+Soul for using the headline “Why it costs $26,740 a year to look like this” for her glamorous cover story.

While Angie said that she “absolutely loved” the cover shoot and that it was a welcome distraction after her split with Carlin Sterritt in July, she wasn’t so happy with the publication’s choice of wording.

“However, I do feel the headline on the front cover is a bit ‘clickbaity,’” she wrote in a self-professed ‘rant’ on her account.

“[It’s] very much not how I would go about saying, ladies ‘you do you,’” she added.

In her Instagram Stories Angie shared a snap of the front cover which featured arrows pointing to various spots on her face and body and the estimated annual cost of the cosmetic procedures she’s had. An arrow on her forehead, for example, claims that she’s spent $3,120 on ‘injectables’.

Angie has placed a large red cross over the eye-watering total amount in the lower-left corner, writing:“I might’ve spent some money and time on wanting to feel more comfortable on the outside and enhancing what I have, but the best money I’ve spent is on soul searching and finding myself again!

“That’s when I feel most beautiful!”

The animal-lover and disability advocate has long been open about her pre-Bachie transformation, revealing that she’s had botox and fillers in the past.

“I’m a huge fan of ageing gracefully, but I’m also a massive fan of injectables and treatments,” she told Body+Soul.

“I’ve been open about getting the same work done for the past five years. I’ve been honest about getting Botox. In fact, I’m mad for a little bit of Botox. I’d never not have it,” she added.
