'Hell no!': Eva Mendes horrifies fans with scary procedure photo
Hollywood star Eva Mendes has left fans horrified after she shared a confronting selfie on Instagram showing a painful-looking beauty procedure she underwent.
The 46-year-old is notoriously open with her fans, and gave them a sneak peek at some of the secrets behind her ageless beauty on Friday when she uploaded the photo, though many couldn’t stomach what they were seeing.
The photo showing The Place Beyond the Pines actress lying back with seven needles protruding from her neck as she undergoes a mono-threads procedure.
Monothreading involves having needles inserted into certain areas to stimulate collagen production, and to firm and tighten loose skin.
Many fans were left gobsmacked by the confronting snap, taking to the comments to express their horror.
“HELL NAH GIRL‼️‼️‼️ THIS LOOKS SO CRAZY,” one individual wrote. “I hope ur ok .... I’m shook.”
“I'm in pain just looking at this picture!” another agreed.
“I think I'd rather sh*t a brick and fart a crowbar,” was one descriptive reaction.
“Oh my I almost passed out!” another agreed.

Sweet reason behind scary selfie
The post was, in fact, a very sweet plug for a local Latina owned business the star frequents with her tagging the beauticians she called ‘the best of the best’ in the post.
“Oye! @marianalvergara has finally opened her own @beautyvillavergara!” Eva wrote. “This spa-home away from home is incredible!”
She added the homey atmosphere made the centre ‘my happy place!’
Even Eva knew the needles were far from the most comfortable procedure, writing: “Here I am getting some Mono-Threads. Ayyyy Dios! I’ll update you with results if you care.”
“So excited to support her as a skilled beauty technician opening her own Latina owned business!”
Eva is married to fellow Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling and the pair have two daughters Esmeralda, six, and Amada, four.
Earlier this month the star spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle about the way motherhood has changed her approach to film roles.
“I'm just in such mum mode that I feel like I have a lot of restrictions like I wouldn't want to do a violent film or a risqué film, I wouldn't want to do anything that would embarrass my kids in the future, because I've done plenty of that already!" she told us over the phone.
"I'll have a lot of questions to answer I'm sure!" the Hitch actress jokingly added.
