Bachelor star claps back after wearing white to best friend's wedding

Bachelor star Tara Pavlovic has clapped back at trolls who criticised her outfit choice and questioned why she wore white to attend the wedding of her former TV co-star Cobie Frost.

Tara, who is currently pregnant with her second child, wore a champagne wrap dress to the intimate ceremony in Montville, Queensland where Cobie married her longtime fiancé Chris Whearty.

Taking to social media on Sunday night, the Bachelor in Paradise star defended herself and her dress after copping backlash online.

“A few people concerned about me ‘wearing white to a wedding’. Firstly it isn't white, it is champagne colour. Secondly I was a bridesmaid,” she wrote on her Instagram Story alongside a laughing emoji.

“So I was told by the bride herself what I was wearing. So I (and the three other bridesmaids) listened to the bride and wore the dress she wanted us to wear to her wedding.”

Tara and Cobie first met while filming Matty J’s season of The Bachelor in 2017, where they came in third and fifth place, respectively.

Fellow Bachelor stars Nina Rolleston, who starred alongside Tara on season one of Bachelor in Paradise, and Natalie Holmberg also attended the event on Friday.

Cobie wore a frilly, sleeveless gown with a white fur wrap and her brunette hair styled in loose curls.

Back in March Tara announced that she and her husband Nick Shepherdson were expecting their second child together.

The children’s book author shared a photo on social media of a positive pregnancy test next to a positive rapid antigen test.

“Flash back to 8 weeks ago… What a day of mixed emotions that was,” she captioned the snap.

She went on to reveal that she’s expecting a baby girl in September, and her one-year-old son Paddy “has no idea what is going on”.

“But I’m sure he will love having a new friend to play with,” she added.

“[Nick] and I are super excited (and nervous) and can’t wait to meet our little girl.”
