Awkward moment Karl Stefanovic embarrasses daughter on live TV: 'So mad'

Karl Stefanovic took matters into his own hands when it came to his daughter's dating life on Wednesday during an interview with Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of assassinated US president John F Kennedy.

During the interview, Karl mentioned his daughter Willow, 18, wanted to date her son Jack Schlossberg, 30.

"I hope that you don’t take any offence to what I am going to ask," Karl began. "My daughter wanted to know if your son is single?"

"You’d have to ask him. I can’t answer that," the US Ambassador said with a laugh. "Although your daughter must be so mad at you right now, by the way, I would be so mad at you if I was your daughter."

Karl then joked that he was actually trying to find out for his three-year-old daughter Harper, who he shares with wife Jasmine Stefanovic.

"She is only three. The other one is taken," he joked.

"Then there is something really wrong with you," Ms Kennedy responded.

"Welcome to what the rest of the nation already knows," Karl's co-host Sarah Abo quipped.

Jack is a Yale University and Harvard Law and Business School graduate and can also add acting to his list of accomplishments after appearing on the show Blue Bloods in 2018.
