One of the beauties of Australia’s Got Talent is the diversity of acts that roll onto the stage, and last night it was a 76-year-old grandmother who stole the show with her incredibly impressive strength.

Janice Lorraine from Queanbeyan in NSW wowed the judges when she revealed her bodybuilding physique in a shiny purple bikini.

The reality TV contestant, who has only taken up bodybuilding in the last 20 years, decided to flex her muscles while Hot Stuff by Donna Summer played in the background.

Her performance was enough to get three votes from judges Nicole Scherzinger, Shane Jacobson and Lucy Durack.

However, it was Manu Feildel who chose not to give Janice a ‘yes’ vote.

“I can't believe that your body is better than mine,” he said, initially impressed.

“Oh I don't know I can't see your body, really,” Janice cheekily responded.

All she needed was three ‘yes’ votes to go through to the next round, proving the grandma’s stage appearance won’t be her last in the Channel Seven competition.

Janice has quite the story behind her bodybuilding success.

After retiring as a psychologist when she was 55 years of age, she decided to join a gym.

The mother-of-three has more recently been training six days a week, keeping Sunday as her rest day.

Her biggest motivation has been to prove age is just a number, and frankly her AGT audition is testament to her success in doing just that.
