Ariana Madix Says Boyfriend Daniel Wai Is the 'Best Gift-Giver' She’s Ever Met as She Teases His Holiday Present (Exclusive)

Ariana Madix is set for the holiday season!

The Vanderpump Rules star, 39, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that her boyfriend, Daniel Wai, is the “best gift-giver.”

Although the TV personality, who partnered with DSW on a new holiday edit, declined to reveal what she got Wai for the holidays this year, she did explain that she has “a note folder” in her phone so she can take notes of when he says "he likes something or that he would get this if he didn't want to spend on it for himself.”

“I have a little list there that I'll be going off of and collecting things from,” she says.

Still, she notes, “he's an incredible gift-giver."

“He already knows what he wants to get. He's already gotten me, I think, most of it,” she says.

Madix and Wai, a fitness influencer, were first linked in April 2023, a month after Madix learned that her longtime boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, was cheating with their Vanderpump Rules costar Rachel "Raquel" Leviss.

Madix and Wai first met at a mutual friend's wedding, and then were spotted spending time together at Coachella. By May 2023, Madix was already "falling in love" with Wai, a source told PEOPLE.

As for her own gift-giving, Love Island USA host Madix tells PEOPLE, “I am not so good at it. I try and I get really lofty big ideas about gifts, and then I overthink and then if one part of it doesn't work out I get really stressed. Then the day is coming up and I end up just freaking out and getting something that's not quite what I wanted."

She continues: “Every time there's gift-giving happening, I'm super stressed.”

“But he is the best gift-giver I've ever met in my life,” she adds, concluding that she has “a lot to live up to.”

As the holidays quickly approach, the TV personality says she’s been reflecting on what she wants from the new year, including to "keep working."

“I'm so grateful to be able to do what I love and what I've always wanted to do my whole life, and be able to make a living doing it," Madix says.

“So, I would love to just keep doing that,” she adds. “Of course, in that umbrella is film, TV and Broadway. Any level of theater — I enjoy it so much. So, if I could perform for the rest of my life, I would. Hopefully, I have that opportunity.”
