Ariana Grande's latest 'Wicked' look is custom *and* coquette

From tennis-ball themed dresses to mermaidcore, if you're anything like us, you're OBSESSED with the way that method dressing has taken over press tours over the world and transformed red carpet dressing.

Not to be confused with method acting, method dressing is ~basically~ when an actor completes a press tour while wearing outfits inspired by the film/tv show they are promoting.

It sounds, simple, right? Well, the concept is straight-forward, yes, but the commitment to the bit is seriously awe-inspiring. Some of the key examples of method dressing in action include Margot Robbie, who stuuuuuned at red carpets all over the world while promoting Barbie.

Some highlights? When Margot shut down central London in a pastel pink evening gown and faux fur stole that a) looked stunning b) was *custom* Vivienne Westwood and c) referenced a vintage 1960 Enchanted Evening Barbie doll.

Now, the pastel pink method dressing crown has passed from Margot to none other than Ariana Grande — who will be playing another character with a serious predilection for all things pink in her starring turn as Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked.

So far, she's already given us some iconic moments, including a pink ballgown and butterfly choker combo and a number of twinning looks with co-star Cynthia Erivo. And the fashion show doesn't look like it will be stopping anytime soon!

Ari just posted an iconic Glinda-fied look to her IG, showing her wearing a dainty two-piece featuring a white strapless crop top featuring pink bow embellishment, paired with a voluminous pink silk skirt.

The look was originally worn during press appearances in Australia earlier in the week and was accessorised with a pair of delicate white shoes and a blue, beaded kiss-lock purse.
