Jennie Garth reveals ex-husband Peter Facinelli took her and family in amid the L.A. wildfires: 'So grateful'
The "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress shares three daughters with the "Twilight" actor, to whom she was married from 2001 until 2012.
Jennie Garth is expressing gratitude that she and her family could take refuge with her ex-husband Peter Facinelli after fleeing their home amid the Los Angeles wildfires.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star said she had been staying with the Twilight actor, to whom she was married from 2001 until 2012, and his family in an emotional Instagram post on Thursday. She also opened up about how she has been navigating the disaster.
"This is just devastating for everyone," she said in the video. "I'm so sad. I just have a deep sadness today. My family and I are safe, our home made it through the night, and we are feeling so blessed and so fortunate and so lucky and just praying for everybody else. We're also so lucky that more people weren't hurt or trapped in the fires."

Garth, who is now married to actor Dave Abrams, shares daughters Luca, Lola, and Fiona with Facinelli, who is engaged to actress Lily Anne Harrison. Facinelli and Harrison are parents to a son, Jack.
The actress hopes that she and her family can return home soon. "It's a mess, but it's fine. It's still there," she said in the video. "So grateful for Peter for letting us stay at his house — me and all the girls and the dogs and Dave."
She also extended her thanks to the first responders, reporters, and volunteers "providing things for the people who lost everything."
"Fires are still burning," she added. "It's just unimaginable."
She shed further light on her current situation in her post's caption. "I wanted to let you know that we are safe. Peter and his family took us in and have been so kind," Garth wrote. "I am deeply saddened for our city. And just feel numb. Our home was spared, but so much to clean up, and [we're] ready to get active to help our neighbors and friends and fellow Angelinos. Dave has been amazing transporting all our bags and boxes, loading and unloading. Just keep everyone here who is suffering in your heart and prayers."
She continued, "I am grateful we are all okay and have a home to return to. This will effect [sic] people differently, so reach out, and offer to help. It really does mean so much. Thank you for all the love that is being sent this way."
Multiple fires are blazing throughout Southern California, including those in the Pacific Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, Kenneth, and Sunset. Nearly 180,000 people have been evacuated amid the disaster, which has killed at least 10 people and destroyed hundreds of homes, including those of Milo Ventimiglia, Spencer and Heidi Pratt, Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton, and more.
