Andy Cohen Shares Sweet Throwback Photo of Son Ben as He Celebrates His 6th Birthday: 'His Life Began and So Did Mine'

Andy Cohen is celebrating his son on his big day.

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, the Bravo personality, 56, shared a photo on his Instagram as he celebrated his son Ben's birthday. In the throwback snap, Cohen knelt over a baby Ben, who lay on a blue blanket and wore a diaper as well as a pink and gray beanie.

"6 years ago today, his life began and so did mine…. Happy Birthday Ben! 🎈," Cohen wrote in his caption.

Cohen is dad to Ben and daughter Lucy, 2.

In January, Cohen appeared as a guest host on an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark and shared that his son Ben had recently gotten into some hijinks at home.

"I woke up, I think it was Monday morning — it’s been a long week already. And he had found his little kid scissors which we had hidden from him," Cohen told co-host Kelly Ripa, 54. "I said, ‘Oh great, cut away, here’s some paper.’ I go in my room, he goes in his room. He says, ‘How do you like my new hairstyle?' "

"Now, I thought he put gel in his hair, this is how dumb I am," he continued. "He did a crazy haircut. All of a sudden I see a pile of hair in the corner."

Instead of having an explosive reaction, Cohen said that he maintained his cool and "did not shame him for this."

"But he has now gotten a buzz cut ... And everyone is going so crazy and he’s getting so much attention that now I’m worried he’s going to do it again," he said.

Although Ben has had some creative moments lately, Cohen said he's also been extra cuddly. Speaking with PEOPLE at SiriusXM's 10th Annual Radio Andy Holiday Hangout in December, Cohen opened up about a few sweet moments he's shared recently with his kids.

"Ben is love bombing me so much, and Lucy also is so — any quality time that she and I get alone without Ben, she's so excited about," Cohen said.

"I took her to the doctor today and she talked about it like I was taking her to, you know, see the Rockettes. She's like, 'Daddy and I — just Daddy and I — are going to the doctor, just Daddy and I.' So she's very much daddy's little girl."
