Amy Schumer gets recognized all the time — just not as herself!
While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, Jan. 28, Schumer, 43, said she often gets mistaken by fans for Bridesmaids stars Rebel Wilson and Melissa McCarthy — and she doesn’t correct them.
“People come up to me and even though … 100% of the time they are sure that I'm Melissa McCarthy Wilson, or Rebel Wilson … I don't correct them I just go, ‘Yeah, Bridesmaids totally changed my life,” she said on the show while promoting her new comedy Kinda Pregnant.
Schumer said earlier of being mistaken for the two fellow actresses, "I should be so lucky, those are beautiful women.”
Schumer’s comments about being mistaken for the two comedy stars, come after McCarthy, 54, previously shared that she was mistaken for Schumer during a hidden-camera stunt she participated in on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

McCarthy recalled while visiting the show in 2020 that during the stunt, which was performed a year earlier, a person thought she was the blonde comedian after she pretended to faint.
"What I heard right before [they called] 911 was: 'Amy Schumer's gone down! Amy Schumer's on the ground!'" said McCarthy on the show. "And I was like, 'Hey!' "
"She called me Amy Schumer — which to me was my favorite part, what a compliment — but she called me Amy Schumer four or five times,” she added.
Schumer and McCarthy starred alongside each other the 2024 film Unfrosted, written and directed by Jerry Seinfeld. The pair also appeared on the same episode of Saturday Night Live when Schumer hosted back in 2018.

As well as being mistaken for some big names in Hollywood, Schumer shared on The Tonight Show that she was recently mistaken by age by a certain well-known actor.
“Bradley Cooper I ran into this week … and he said, ‘You know I turned 50 this year.' And he goes, ‘You 50?’ ” Schumer recalled as the audience laughed.
She said she tried to “recover” from the awkward moment, saying, “Because whatever I’m 43 but, you know, I will be 50 but … I'm not 50 yet. I was just like, ‘um, yeah no I’m not Bradley, you know, I’m not. But thank you for thinking of me.’ ”
