Amy Schumer Plans on Making 'Sweet Love' to Husband Chris Fischer on Their Upcoming 7th Wedding Anniversary
The couple, who share 5-year-old son Gene, will celebrate seven years of marriage on Feb. 13
Amy Schumer has some spicy plans for celebrating her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Chris Fischer.
During an appearance on The View on Monday, Feb. 3, the comedian, 43, was asked how the couple will mark the special occasion on Feb. 13. "Well, actually, that is the weekend of the SNL 50th. So I think I get a plus-one," Schumer said, jokingly adding, "Otherwise, I’ll just ditch him."
"But no, we’re pretty corny. We will make love. We will make sweet love," she continued, prompting co-host Whoopi Goldberg to interject, "During the 50th?"
"During the 50th!" confirmed Schumer, who had stopped by the talk show to promote her new Netflix movie Kinda Pregnant. "We do birthdays… we do schedule it, we do schedule it. Nobody ever is like, ‘Oh!’ There’s never like, a vibe where it just happens. Do people do that?"

Co-host Sunny Hostin then chimed in, "Yeah, because you got to get it in. You gotta schedule time to get it in."
This isn't the first time Schumer has gotten candid about the couple's sex life. During an appearance on the Comedy Gold Minds with Kevin Hart podcast in April 2021, the Trainwreck star spoke about how things had changed since their son Gene David's birth.
"Okay, truly, we probably have sex every seven to 10 days," Schumer told Hart, 45, at the time. "And we do it and we go, 'God, that's so great. Like we need to do that more.' And then we don't do it again for another seven to 10 days."
Just days after making their relationship Instagram official, Schumer and Fischer — who were first linked in late 2017 — married on Feb. 13, 2018, in a surprise ceremony in Malibu, Calif., attended by 80 people including Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lawrence and Larry David. Eight months later, in October 2018, Schumer announced that she and Fischer were expecting their first child together. Their son, now 5, made his arrival in May 2019.

Over the years, Schumer has shared her love for Fischer, a professional chef, on social media and in interviews — often with a dose of humor. When her husband turned 43 in January 2023, the actress posted a photo of the pair on Instagram with the message: "Happy birthday to my husband, Chris. I can stand you. Please keep standing me."
In November 2021, Schumer joked that she would never leave her husband because he's too good of a cook. "That is right. I can't lie. He knows what's going on. We have a prenup, but we don't need it," she told Entertainment Tonight. "He's a chef, he's a chef!"
When the couple reached their sixth wedding anniversary last year, Schumer revealed another special way they like to celebrate together.
“We are kind of romantic about it because we got married the day before Valentine’s Day,” she said on The View at the time. “And so we watch our wedding vows. Yeah, we have a little video we watch.”
Schumer went on to recall to the show's hosts how she thought she was going "kill" it with her vows on her wedding day — but it was Fischer who ended up winning the moment with his "amazing," handwritten words.
“I was like, 'I’ll go second cause we know I’m gonna kill, you know?' And like, 'you go first,' but I couldn’t follow him,” she said. “His vows were so good. I was so impressed.”
Schumer's latest movie, Kinda Pregnant — which she co-wrote, produced and stars in — follows a teacher named Lainy who gets jealous of her best friend Kate’s (Jillian Bell) pregnancy and decides to wear a fake baby bump. She then meets the man of her dreams (Will Forte) and is forced to keep the pregnancy lie going.
Kinda Pregnant premieres on Netflix on Feb. 5.
