'I need it': The $45 Aldi Special Buy Strucket causing a wave online

Aldi fans are going nuts following the announcement the 'Strucket' will be available for $45 as part of the June 26 Special Buys.

In case you've never heard of a Strucket before - you wouldn't be the only one, don't worry - it's similar to a colander that fits inside a slightly bigger basket or bucket and it's used for soaking clothes and draining the water out easily as it even features a small tap on the bottom bucket.

The Strucket website describes the product as: "Perfect for sensitive skin, the Strucket allows you to easily soak, separate and drain with our patented, world-first interlocking strainer and plug system.

"Your hands never, ever touch dirty (or smelly) water!"

They suggest the Strucket is useful for parents especially and can be used with cloth nappies, disinfecting toys and general baby mess.

A Facebook user shared a photo of the Strucket in the Special Buys catalogue, writing, "I don't want to alarm anyone.... but STRUCKET is on sale 26 June!!!!"

"I love Strucket. Makes my laundry soaking and fruit and veggies wash so much easier," one user commented.

"I have one & it's seriously the best bucket ever. So nice not having to use gloves when soaking clothes," wrote another.

"All of a sudden I need one," commented a third.

"Where has this been all of my life?" someone else wrote. "(Or my life since having children)? I hate touching dirty water and I feel icky when I have to wring out all the clothes."

"Wow I've never heard of this before, but I might have to get one," another added.

Someone else pointed out that cloth nappies will also be on sale, adding, "Can't be a coincidence."

Many others had no idea what the Strucket was with one joking, "I don’t need one but I feel like I want one just because everyone else does."

Some weren't impressed by the price with someone commenting, "$45 for two buckets? One with holes in it..."

One user also added that you could make it yourself with a few Kmart buys.

Kmart storage buyer Jess Roche revealed last year that you can create something similar using a $7 white storage tub with holes (the ‘Design Tub with Lid’ in Medium to be precise), which fits inside a regular soaking tub (Jess used the $10 Stackable Container with Lid in Large).

Once the clothes have had their soak, lift the white tub with holes out of the larger tub by the handles and allow the grimy water to drain away.
