Aldi shoppers lose it over $15 item: 'This is awesome!'

Aldi shoppers are in a frenzy over a new $15 item to hits shelves.

The discount supermarket recently dropped its new Ready, Set, Cook meal kit range, which serve two people for just $14.99.

Fans have flocked to Facebook to share their creations, gushing about how they can feed their families of four for only $30.

"We know that our customers are looking for delicious, easy dinner recipes made from the highest quality produce for the lowest prices," Aldi Shopping Expert Kylie Warnke told reporters.

"These affordable Ready, Set Cook kits mean you don't need to spend hours in the kitchen to create tasty, healthy meals.

"Simply choose your kit, shop the remaining ingredients listed and you're good to go."

The supermarket giant will release a different recipe kit each week, but the current four available include a Tex Mex beef burger with rosemary salted fries and ranch slaw, chicken pad thai, teriyaki salmon with vegetable and black sesame rice, and bacon-wrapped pork and fennel sausages.

Shoppers have already rushed to the supermarkets to grab the bargain item, and they are sharing their rave reviews on social media.

Sharing a photo on the Aldi Mums Facebook group of her chicken pad thai, one shopper said it was "awesome".

"Makes a huge amount, we fed two adults, one teenage boy and a child easily," she said.

"10/10 will buy again."

Another posted a photo of her beef burgers and said she was excited to test the meal kits.

"Was delicious, definitely recommended," she said.

One commented it was better than other meal kits she "paid a fortune for".

"We had the same, I was lucky enough to get it on special too. $10, can't complain about that!" she said.

"These were a winner at ours. I was surprised to find fresh tomato and potato for the chips included," another commented.

"From the local takeaway you pay $14 for one hamburger," a third added.

The meal kits will be available until July or while stocks last, so shoppers are urged to get in quick.
