Aldi shoppers are losing it over this $6 beauty buy
Some customers say the new foundation stands up to the best from Estée Lauder.
Savvy shoppers are snapping up Aldi's latest $6 beauty buy, with many saying the designer foundation dupe is just as you'd expect: better than brand-name products that cost up to eight times more.
"I bought this today and I must say I am extremely impressed," one fan shared on social media about Aldi's new Lacura SPF 15 foundation. "The cost was $6. I applied with a kabuki brush and a little powder over the top. I'm very pleased I must say."
Aldi's beauty dupes
The budget retailer's signature beauty brand, Lacura, has long impressed pennywise shoppers, offering dupes of brand-name beauty products at unbeatable prices.
For example: Aldi's $8.99 Lacura Ultra Defining Mascara has been likened to Dior Show mascara, which retails for $60; while the $14.99 Lacura all-in-one Ultra Glow Palette is a perfect dupe of Dior's $79 Backstage Glow Face Palette.
As good as Estée Lauder
It seems Aldi's latest offering is just as good, with some shoppers even likening it to a popular Estée Lauder foundation, which retails for $74. "I have very sensitive skin and was only able to use Estée Lauder," one revealed. "Someone recommended this years ago and it's great! Saves me heaps!"
The long-lasting liquid foundation comes in four different shades and promises to hide imperfections, even out skin tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, all while leaving a flawless finish.
Aussie shoppers can't get enough of the stuff. "I've been using this for about a year, and it's honestly better than others I have that are eight times the price," one said. "It's medium to full coverage, and doesn't get oily on my 'normal' skin," echoed another.
"Totally agree, I've been using this for years and it's just as good, if not better, than products three times the price," confirmed a third.

Sharing their secrets on the best way to use the foundation, beauty fans said applying it with a brush made a little go a long way, while others said they mix two colours together to achieve the perfect shade for their skin tone.
Meanwhile, other shoppers said the range's primer is just as good and enhanced the foundation too.
"I love this too! It's even MORE amazing when you add a thin layer of primer underneath," one said. "Go on, give it a shot and you will never look back!"
