$3.99 Aldi product shoppers are loving: 'They are soooo yummy'

When Aldi brings back a fan-favourite item, shoppers certainly don't mess around.

That's definitely been the case after the German supermarket brought back its wildly popular $3.99 Specially Selected Goose Fat Crispy Roasting Potatoes - with the good already flying off the shelves.

The frozen potatoes are part of Aldi's seasonal range after they were first introduced in 2019.

"Finally they are back!" one excited shopper shared in an Aldi Facebook group.

"They are soooo yummy," another agreed, while a third said: "Omg I have to get these."

Meanwhile, other shoppers admitted they had already begun to stockpile the tasty side dish.

"So excited!!! I've stocked up," one admitted.

While another shopper showed off her eight-bag haul of 1kg potatoes, writing: "Super excited to find these today just in time as we are onto our last bag from last year."

The limited-edition product will continue to be available for the Christmas season, or while stocks last — and plenty of customers have revealed they already can't find them in stock in their local store.

"Obviously everyone rushed out & got their hands on some maybe Aldi will see the sales & make it a permanent item," one person wrote alongside an image of an empty freezer section labelled with the $3.99 item.

In response to the demand, an Aldi spokesperson said: "Our Goose-Fat roasting potatoes, which are seasoned, pre-fried and glazed in goose fat, are a returning customer favourite and popular side dish for a delicious Christmas meal.

"We continue to take our customers' feedback into consideration when it comes to bringing favourite products back to shelves, or even adding them to our everyday range."
