A cult buy from Aldi has started a fierce debate online just days after it took out the top spot in a stain removal test by industry experts, Choice.
One woman took to a Facebook group to ask others what the difference is between the purple Di-San Oxy Action with Enzymes Pre Wash Stain Remover and the pink he Di-San Ultra Degreaser with Enzymes Pre Wash Stain Remove.
The comments came flooding in, with people stating exactly what they use their two different Di-San products for.
“Aren’t they both the same product...pre wash stain remover, just different perfume/smell?” one person asked.
They are in fact two different products, one a degreaser and one an oxy action.
Some were huge fans of the pink, degreaser Di-San, writing: “I prefer the degreaser (pink) one. It breaks down oils, so great for pillow cases, as well as getting the BO smell out.”
Another person agreed, writing: “I use the pink one for cleaning my showers. Spray it all over, leave for half an hour and wipe clean”.
While a third said:” I use the pink on the grout on the floor amazing”.
Others were big fans of the purple oxy action Di-San, with one person writing: “I use the purple one on my son’s white school tops, Soak then wash it is a great product I also soak with the soaking powder.”
“Purple one, u can use it everywhere, one multipurpose little gem,” another person said.
One person said both of the cleaners were amazing, saying she uses them both to clean her bathroom and kitchen.
“Cleans marks on walls. Does a fantastic job & leaves a great fragrance,” she said.
To tell them apart you need to look closely at the gold panel on the label: one reads ‘Oxy Action’ while the other is ‘Ultra Degreaser’.
Di-San Oxy Action with Enzymes Pre Wash Stain Remover comes in a purple spray bottle and is generally suited to laundry and shower cleaning.
The Di-San Ultra Degreaser with Enzymes Pre Wash Stain Remover comes in the pink bottle and shoppers have found that it works best for heavy-duty cleaning such as ovens.
