Aje launches new summer collection: Here's everything we want

As much of Australia gets ready to open up again after months of long lockdowns, the fashion world is getting ready too.
Aje's new Resort '22 collection is a nod to long summers; being able to dress to impress as we reconnect with loved ones, and enjoy long days and evenings together.
Called 'Scent of Summer', it's all about rediscovering dressing up - and we're totally here for it.

Here are some of the trends to look out for:
Olive
This summer, olive is taking over from khaki as the new neutral. It's perfect for picnics and festive gatherings - and brings a bit of interest to your wardrobe, if you're normally into a neutral palette.
But just because you're wearing a neutral colour, doesn't mean you have to wear a neutral cut. This season it's about being dramatic and theatrical. The Casabianca Puff Sleeve Dress, $425, is made from 100% cotton, and is adorned with a giant bow at the back - which is able to be customised in length when you wear it.
The Martino Cut Out Jacket Dress, $475, is a seriously dramatic take on suiting. A single-breasted blazer dress, it's designed to flatter with statement cut-outs showing a flash of flesh. If you don't want to wear it on its own, pair it with the matching tapered leg pant, $295.
For some real drama, the Medina Ruched Cropped Top, $225, is bound to get you noticed. It's a textured crop top, with ruched wide shoulder straps. Perfect with a long skirt in the evenings or tapered pants for during the day.

Expect to see this hand-painted, overblown olive leaf motif on plenty of the Aje collection, across everything from mini dresses to bucket hats.
The Oasis Olive Leaf Cut Out Mini Dress, $395, is the perfect summer mini dress; cool and quirky, but wearable almost everywhere. It has a cinched in waistline with billowing ruched sleeves, and a straight line bodice to the rest of the dress. Wear it with statement earrings for a evening event, or simple flats during the day.
Go from mini to maxi with the Oasis Olive Leaf Strap Maxi Dress, $495. Made from 100% cotton, it's a heavy dress with braided straps that tie at the back. It has a tiered, voluminous body for maximum impact. Great with heels and plenty of jewellery for a nighttime event, or sneakers during the day.
Top the look off with this Romance Bucket Hat, $125. Made from linen, with a flat top, it has frayed edges and is really versatile - wear it to the beach, picnics, outdoor bars, or anywhere else you fancy so you look good while keeping the sun off you.
White
Wear white in the right way, and it's never boring. This Casabianca Braided Asymmetric Puff Sleeve Midi Dress, $495, has a striking asymmetric neckline, puff sleeves, side pockets and gathered seams throughout the dress. It's comfy, cool, but definitely not boring.
The Vanades Frill Crop Top, $275, is a sculpted crop top with a bodice and textured ruffle sleeves. Either drape the straps off your shoulder or wear upright with a flared skirt. However you style it, it will pack a style punch.
Go chic in the Casabianca Puff Sleeve Shirt Dress, $495. The midi shirt-dress is made from 100% organic cotton, and has textural detail throughout the dress. It has a removable belt to give some structure to the otherwise floaty style - wear the belt as tightly as you like - or get it rid of it altogether for a more ethereal look.
